NEW IN 2020 – Requests for COVID Relief

In order to help our local community during the global pandemic, the Bellevue Rotary Foundation is focusing our support this year on organizations that provide services related to COVID-19 relief in Bellevue.

Projects or services must meet the following criteria for consideration this year:

  1. The project or operations must be community service oriented, beneficial primarily to the residents of the City of Bellevue and the neighboring Eastside cities, and that provide relief from the impacts of COVID-19.
  2. The project or services may be programmatic in nature (capital project not required), however funding cannot be used for ongoing operating expenses such as overhead and salaries, etc.
  3. Although the maximum grant per organization in previous years has been $5,000, the Committee will consider requests greater than this amount this year.
Even if you have received funding from the Bellevue Rotary Club for two years in a row, you may still apply this year if all of other criteria are met.
  4. The project or services must be delivered within the next 12 months in order to provide maximum benefit for COVID-19 relief.

The Bellevue Rotary Community Grants Committee will accept grant applications beginning August 1st, 2020.  Applicants will be contacted by a member of our Community Grants Committee to discuss their applications after they are received.  Recommendations made by the Community Grants Committee are reviewed with the Bellevue Rotary Board of Directors.  Applicants will be notified of the decision shortly thereafter.

Please include the following information with your grant requests:

  • Organization information (name of organization, contact person, address, telephone number, email address and Tax ID number).
  • Brief overview of the organization (what it does, who it serves in the community, size of organization, how long the organization has been in the community).
  • Summary of the project or nature of the organization’s operations.
  • How the project or funds will provide COVID-19 relief and how widespread are those benefits to the local (Bellevue) community and greater Eastside in general.
  • Total estimated budget of proposed project.
  • How the grant money, if approved, will be utilized.
  • Note: Past recipients may apply again provided the application relates to a new project
