(online meeting only)
Robert Rose is founder/president of The Rose International Fund for Children (TRIFC), a non-profit organization helping people with disabilities in Nepal. Rob started TRIFC to help educate, empower and provide opportunities for people with disabilities in Nepal. He is also owner of Brant Photographers in Bellevue, Washington a small, family portrait studio which has been in Bellevue since 1949.
Rob was president of the Rotary Club of Bellevue in the 2012-2013 Rotary year and proposed a major project to work in partnership with the City of Bellevue, Washington to build an inclusive playground and sensory gardens in the Downtown Bellevue Park. The goal being to create a playground where children and adults with disabilities can play and interact with people without disabilities. The project draws from Rob’s experiences in Nepal where he observed the swift perceptual shift of volunteers, which quickly went from ‘pity’ to ‘understanding’ once they met and interacted with children with disabilities. This $5.5 million dollar project opened June, 28th 2017 after five years of planning and fundraising.
Rob and his wife, Gina work together closely on project coordination. They have three adult sons: Aaron, Richard and Carey.
