WHAT IS YOUR LEGACY?
Giving to a cause you believe in can make an impact now and for generations to come.
The Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund is managed by the Bellevue Rotary’s Foundation’s Board of Trustees, following governance procedures that include regular performance reviews and the use of professional investment advisors. A copy of the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund Policy is available by request to the Bellevue Rotary Club Administrator.
The Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund is a major continuing project of the Bellevue Rotary Foundation to provide a source of long-term funding for charitable grant projects and programs sponsored and supported by the Rotary Club of Bellevue. It is also intended to enable the Bellevue Rotary Foundation to increase its annual charitable giving.
LEGACY GIFT GIVING
You can make gifts that benefit the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund today.
Gifts can be made using stocks, cash, bonds, or properties. You might also consider a distribution from your donor-advised fund. If you’re over 70½, directing part of your Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA to the fund could provide tax advantages (consult your tax advisor).
You might consider a gift to honor a birth, marriage, retirement, or in memory of a loved one.
You can make gifts that pay you income and may result in a tax deduction. Examples include charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts. If a charitable vehicle like this is of interest, we can direct you to tax/legal resources to explore these options further.
You can make gifts that benefit the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund in the future such as bequests through your will, trust planning, or retirement plan/annuity/life insurance beneficiary designations.
The choice of how to give is a personal one. Tax implications and giving objectives will be different for each of you. The Bellevue Rotary Foundation stands ready to assist you and your professional advisors. We are available to talk with you about your giving objectives and to discuss further how we can work together to meet your goals. Planned giving, both on a current basis and testamentary basis, is a powerful way to create a lasting legacy.
Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund Recognition Program
Be recognized for your donation – join the Bellevue Rotary Circle!
There are two different avenues to becoming a Member of the Bellevue Rotary Circle:
- Become a member of the Bellevue Rotary Circle by including a testamentary bequest in your estate plan and informing the Bellevue Rotary Foundation following the instructions provided by the Bellevue Rotary Club Administrator. It is not necessary to disclose the amount of the bequest.
- Direct contributions can be given at any time to the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund.
February is the main Legacy awareness month, and we will list all Bellevue Rotary members who are a member of the Bellevue Rotary Circle in the Bulletin and provide stickers for their badges.
At our annual fundraising event and at our President’s Year‑End Dinner, we will print the names of all Bellevue Rotary Circle members on the back of the program brochure.
