What is Your Legacy?

Giving to a cause you believe in can make an impact now and for generations to come.

The Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund is managed by the Bellevue Rotary’s Foundation’s Board of Trustees, following governance procedures that include regular performance reviews and the use of professional investment advisors.  A copy of the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund Policy is available by request to the Bellevue Rotary Foundation at LegacyFund@bellevuerotary.net.

The Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund is a major continuing project of the Bellevue Rotary Foundation to provide long-term and increased funding for charitable grant projects and programs supported by the Rotary Club of Bellevue.

Legacy Gift Giving

You can make gifts that benefit the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund today.

Gifts can be made by check, credit card, or donations of marketable securities.  You might also consider a distribution from your donor-advised fund. If you’re over 70½, there may be tax advantages to making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA (for more information on QCDs click here and consult your tax advisor).

You might consider a gift to honor a birth, marriage, retirement, or in memory of a loved one.

You can make gifts that pay you income and may result in a tax deduction. Examples include charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts.  If a charitable vehicle like this is of interest, we will direct you to tax/legal resources to explore these options further.

You can make gifts that benefit the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund in the future such as bequests through your will, trust planning, or retirement plan/annuity/life insurance beneficiary designations.

The choice of how to give is personal.  Tax implications and giving are different for everyone.  The Bellevue Rotary Foundation can assist you and your professional advisors in discussing your giving objectives and how it can help meet your goals.  Planned giving is a powerful way to create a lasting legacy.
