Kimberly J. Harris, President & CEO, Puget Sound Energy, “Our Energy Future”
Puget Sound Energy is Washington State’s largest utility, serving more than 1.5 million customers across 10 counties. Named president in 2010 and chief executive in 2011, Kimberly J. Harris is changing the way that PSE serves its customers. This transformation touches every aspect of the organization, from greater reliability to more choices for customers. At the same time, PSE is looking toward the future in energy supply and delivery, with a focus on renewables and low carbon resources that meet customer expectations for affordability and dependability, while lessening our impact on the environment.
Harris is personally committed to safety and has been selected by the National Safety Council as one of the CEOs Who “Get It.”
Prior to her current role, Harris was PSE’s chief resources officer. She practiced law with Perkins Coie before joining PSE in 1999.
Harris serves on the board of directors for the American Gas Association and the Washington Roundtable. She was the 2016‑2017 campaign chair for the United Way of King County. In October 2014, she joined the U.S. Bancorp Board of Directors.
Harris has a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and a juris doctor degree from Arizona State University. She is married, with two grown children.
