Jamie Vos, General Manager, Security Solutions Northwest, “The Future of Physical Security for Property Owners”
What started out as Bellingham Lock & Safe in 1904 became Security Solutions a century later in 2004. The name change reflects the expanded services the Vos Family brought to the business after they took over in 1971.
The family oversaw the growth of the business from a basic locksmith shop to a diversified safety and security business. The company has evolved to offer a full complement of security products and services.
Jamie and his brother Tobey, second generation, joined the business in the mid‑90s. Together, the Vos Family has continued the tradition of providing excellent products and services to the residents and businesses of the Pacific Northwest.
In recent years, Security Solutions has become the Northwest leader in a new camera surveillance technology. This technology was installed citywide in Bellingham, establishing the company reputation down the I‑5 corridor. The company received the Circle of Excellence Award from Honeywell in 2014 and became a Honeywell Platinum Dealer in 2015. In 2016, Security Solutions was a finalist for the Small Business of the Year in Whatcom County.
Security Solutions is in the midst of several extensive commercial projects, including a video surveillance and access control system for a school district in Skagit County; fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance for The Reserve at SeaTac; and installation of a citywide video surveillance system in Bellingham.
Jamie is the President of Washington Security Association and Vice President of National Security Association, and he is on the board of directors of Overwatch Technology. Jamie and his wife and twin daughters reside in Bellingham.
