Evergreen Court Auction = Great Fun!
The Valentine’s Day themed Evergreen Court Auction on February 10 was a huge success, with Rotarians and family members taking part. Amy Hedin, Barbara Morgan and her husband, Crissey Miller, Dean and Marcie Rebhuhn, Earl Bell and his son Alex, Glen Curda, Kammie Lewis and Brian Keane, Michael and Susie Pearce, Natalie Werzynki, and TJ, Carol, Carter, and James Woosley all cheered on residents, drummed up excitement for the auction items, and helped make bids.
There were many wonderful auction items provided by Bellevue Rotary and also by individual Rotarians and family members. Highlights were handmade scarves and necklaces by Marcie Rebhuhn and wonderful home baked treats. Other popular items were — think Valentine’s Day — wine and chocolate!
About 40 residents attended the auction, and each resident was given $1,500 in Monopoly money with which to bid. Michael Pearce served as auctioneer, with Dean Rebhuhn and Barbara Morgan acting as his “Van and Vanna White,” helping members bid, displaying auction items to bidders, and cheering on the activity.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered for this fun event. The volunteers got as much joy and overall good feelings from participating as did the seniors at Evergreen Court — maybe even more!
