Denny Fitzpatrick, Managing Director, Willows Lodge, “The 5 I’s That Change Company Culture”
Denny Fitzpatrick joined Willows Lodge as general manager in the summer of 2014, overseeing all aspects of this favorite getaway in the Pacific Northwest.
Prior to Willows Lodge, Denny was general manager at the premier luxury destination Hotel 1000, where his daily responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the mixed-use luxury destination, the first in downtown Seattle to combine the services and amenities of a world-class hotel with exquisite condominium residences. While at Hotel 1000, Denny he designed a creative employee culture shift he called: “THE FIVE I’s,” which is about leadership, about being authentic, and having integrity and ethics in your work environment. It is about holding each other accountable and laying down the foundation to bring about change. Denny led the Hotel 1000 team to many accolades on a variety of Best Hotel lists, as well as the #1 Trip Advisor ranking in Seattle.
Throughout his career, East Coast to West Coast, Denny brought his competitive spirit and his highly developed leadership skills to his hospitality pursuits and applied positive change in every assignment.
Denny is a native of Spokane and attended the University of Washington, where he and his wife Karen first met. They have three adult children, all of whom reside in the Pacific Northwest.
Throughout his career Denny has been involved in many community and civic organizations including serving as President and Member of the Board of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau and Chairman of the Board of the Spokane Convention and Visitors Bureau; and he was just recently appointed to the Board of Trustees for Northwest University in Kirkland.
